Adesanya Seeks Redemption

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will make his highly anticipated return to the octagon against reigning titleholder Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305 on August 17th in Perth, Australia.

Adesanya lost his title to Alex Pereira in November 2022 and will be eager to reclaim the championship belt. Du Plessis, on the other hand, secured the vacant title with a dominant victory over Robert Whittaker in December 2022.

A Rematch in the Making

This bout marks a rematch between the two fighters, as Adesanya previously faced du Plessis in a kickboxing match in 2015. Du Plessis emerged victorious in that encounter, but Adesanya will be looking to avenge his loss in this highly anticipated MMA clash.
